The association says development began in 1995 and finished in 1997, mostly with three-bedroom homes, on lots with mature trees and private backyards. Avensong has three sections: the Carriage, the Village and Avencroft. The Village and Avencroft have their own representative boards. They handle things like front lawn maintenance and, in Avencroft, upkeep of common property, and they pay an additional set of assessments each year.
Know which section a home is in before you compare prices, since the yearly cost differs by section.
Access works by card. Owners can buy up to two magnetic amenity cards, which are reused from year to year. They are activated each year only after the packet is submitted and the account has no open violations or balances. New and replacement cards are $50 each.
The Avensong Community Association, Inc. governs the neighborhood under its Declaration of Protective Covenants, rules and design standards. Exterior changes go through the architectural committee. Homeside Properties, Inc. manages the association from 900 North Point Parkway, Suite 325, Alpharetta. Request the dues summary for the home's section, the covenants and the design standards with your disclosures.
