Home & Garden
Spring is in the air, and that means it’s time for some deep cleaning! After a long winter cooped up inside, it’s refreshing to open the windows and let the sunshine in. But where do you start? It can be overwhelming to think about everything that needs to be cleaned. That’s why we’ve put together a March cleaning checklist to help you get started.
Before you start cleaning, take some time to declutter your home. Go through each room and get rid of anything that you no longer need or use. This can be anything from clothes you haven’t worn in a year to old magazines that are taking up space.
Next, it’s time to dust your home. Start by dusting the ceiling fans, light fixtures, and any other items that are up high. Then, move on to the furniture and other surfaces. Don’t forget to dust the baseboards and moldings, as well as any knick-knacks or decor.
Once you’ve dusted everything, it’s time to vacuum and sweep. Start by vacuuming the floors, including any rugs or carpets. Then, sweep and mop the hard floors. Be sure to get under the furniture and in any corners or tight spaces.
The bathrooms are probably the least favorite part of cleaning for most people, but they need to be done! Start by cleaning the toilet, sink, and shower or bathtub. Don’t forget to clean the mirrors and any other surfaces. Be sure to use a disinfectant to kill any germs.
The kitchen is another area that needs a lot of attention. Start by cleaning the countertops and sink. Then, clean the inside of the refrigerator and oven. Don’t forget to wipe down the cabinets and drawers, as well as the stove and microwave.
Finally, it’s time to wash the windows. This is a job that’s easy to overlook, but it can make a big difference in the overall appearance of your home. Use a window cleaner and a squeegee or microfiber cloth to clean the windows inside and out.
By following this March cleaning checklist, you can get your home ready for spring in no time. Don’t forget to take breaks and reward yourself for a job well done. And, if you’re feeling overwhelmed, don’t be afraid to ask for help from family or friends. Happy cleaning!
