Embracing Artistry: A Grand Weekend at Glover Park

As the sun has set on the spectacular journey that was the 2023 Art in the Park festival, we find ourselves brimming with gratitude, eager to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you who graced Glover Park in Marietta Square with your presence this past Labor Day weekend.

From the bottom of our hearts, we thank the 175+ artists, both from across the country and our vibrant Marietta locale, who brought the park to life with their exquisite pieces of handmade artistry. Each painting, piece of jewelry, sculpture, and craft narrated a unique story, and we are ever so grateful that you chose to share those narratives with us.

Your enthusiastic participation and willingness to delve into the depths of the artistic world turned the park into a breeding ground for creativity and inspiration. You mingled, laughed, and exchanged stories with the artists, creating a beautiful tapestry of community bonding and mutual appreciation.

We cannot forget the gleaming eyes and vibrant smiles at the Children’s Art Alley, where visitors of all ages embraced their inner artist, creating masterpieces at the many “make and take” art stations. The joy and wonder that filled the air were truly infectious, painting the entire venue with hues of happiness and unity.

The Chalk Spot became a canvas of dreams for our budding artists in kindergarten through 12th grade, who turned the pavement into a magnificent gallery of chalk art. Your contributions fostered a nurturing environment for the young talents, supporting the Marietta High School Visual Arts Club in their pursuit of nurturing the artists of tomorrow.
