Eligible Property
The DPA is available for new or existing residential homes in Cobb County, Georgia. The home must be a one- to four-unit property, detached or attached, condo, or townhome. Manufactured homes, mobile, recreational, seasonal, or other types of vacation or non-permanent homes are not permitted. Land may not exceed the size required to maintain basic livability. Properties purchased in the program must be residential units.
How to Apply
To apply for the DPA, you must first be pre-approved for a mortgage by a participating lender. Once you have been pre-approved, you can submit an application to the Cobb County Housing Authority. The application process includes providing documentation of your income, assets, and debts.
