Ponce was formally known as the Sears store The Ponce City Market is a historic Sears, Roebuck and Company building erected in 1926 in Atlanta, Georgia. The market is located on the east side of Ponce de Leon Avenue, between North Avenue and Monroe Drive
The 2-million-square-foot complex houses offices, apartments, a food hall, retail stores, and artist studios.
After closing as a Sears store in 1978, the building was abandoned for nearly 30 years. In 1998, Jamestown Properties acquired the property and began redevelopment into the Ponce City Market project. The market opened on November 11th 2014
