Design Trends for Your Home

Design Trends for Your Home
People have been spending more time in their homes than ever. Home Goods and Target trips are being made constantly, redecorating, and home improvement projects are more popular than ever.

Having a beautiful, updated, and in style home is a trend right now. Here are some of the most “on trend” things to do to your home!

  1. HAVING VINTAGE, RUSTIC & NATURAL ELEMENTS
Thrifted, antique, and repurposed pieces of furniture or decoration help to layer the room that you’re decorating. Wood, marble, and other natural elements add texture and warmth to a room.
  2. HOUSEPLANTS . . . GO GET SOME
Natural light helps with this trend – back to people being home more, this trend gives you something to do and take care of. No more fake plants or succulents, go get some real plants to decorate your home.
  3. AN INDUSTRIAL LOOK
Metal piping, wood, black metal all gives a cool and different look to a space, and it’s becoming more popular for styles in homes and spaces.
  4. NEUTRAL & EARTHY BACKGROUNDS WITH PRINTS OR BOLD COLORS
The neutral and earthy wall colors with splashes of color and fun prints brings fun and brightness to the neutral backgrounds, and gives a pop of color.
  5. NATURAL TEXTURES & COLORS TO GIVE OFF A COMFY & COZY LOOK
Creating a comfy, cozy vibe isn’t just about the big comfy couch with soft pillows and blankets – it’s about the color scheme and textures too. Cotton and wool textures with some natural colors helps the comfy, cozy look really come to life.
  6. HAVING AS MUCH NATURAL LIGHT AS POSSIBLE
Big windows and natural light are in! No more big curtains blocking the sun out – thin, sheer curtains or thin blinds are the way to go to give your home a bright, airy, and open feeling.
  7. WALLPAPER!
The fun prints on the walls are making a comeback! At one point houses were covered in wallpaper, and when we all decided it was a pain and no longer trendy, we painted the walls instead. All of you that have had to take wallpaper down and know that it’s a pain, get excited because you may be putting it back up in your home.
